Hello👋
I'm Gustave Monce, an engineer and 3rd year PhD Student working at LaBRI (Laboratoire Bordelais de Recherche en Informatique)
You may know me partially for a few things, or heard about me brievly somewhere. This page is designed to summarize a few things I was proud to have worked on both academically (as part of my professional career), and online over the years (in terms of hobbies).
I'm currently living in Bordeaux France
I do way more things than even I would believe to be doing. This section aims to list some of them (both professional work as part of my research career as well as personal Computer Science projects done online alone or in a group of developers).
This very page remains not representative of everything I've done, and will not go too in depth into details.
Feel free to reach out to me on a particular topic if you wanna know more.
For brievety, my current interests are about:
- Software Engineering, Behavioral Changes in Client/Library pairs in software applications (as Researcher)
- Software Engineering, and evolutions in general (as Researcher)
- Embedded Systems, System on Chip development and OS Development on ARM (as Hobby)
- Collecting and Preserving interesting (to me) Prototype Embeeded/Mobile Hardware (as Hobby)
- Documenting MS OS Software and Hardware development history (as Hobby)
I do plan on improving and expanding this page as time goes by, but I also do not like exposing a lot of what I am doing usually, as I'm often a shy person when talking about what I've done (but not when speaking in public on a specific topic, I just do not like exposing myself a lot and fear more than anything else when doing so).
A lot of my work, hobby and interests is *very varied* (to the point of sometimes being on complete opposite of the spectrum). The truth is, I am curious about lots of things in Computer Science, so my area of interests can be quite wide.
This applies to both research (as part of my work career, which currently focuses on Behavioral changes in Client/Library ecosystems right now) where I am open about other domains,
and in my personal projects (which while for a while focused on windows hardware embedded development and firmware, slowly is turning into linux development, with every april of the year (the 2026 edition will remain, a surprise for now :))).
